В День пожилого человека в Катав-Ивановске прошел ряд праздничных мероприятий. Люди преклонного возраста смогли побывать на выставке в местном музее, на литературно-музыкальном вечере в библиотеке. Все они были приглашены руководством Дворца культуры на Рябиновый бал, который прошел в библиотеке.
Пожилые люди явились во Дворец задолго до наступления бала. В фойе с самого утра работали такие специалисты — медики, юристы, сотрудники пенсионной и социальной сфер. Так что каждый желающий мог задать интересующий его вопрос, получить юридическую или медицинскую консультацию.
На «танцевальную вечеринку» собралось много бабушек и дедушек. Организаторы «Рябинового бала» поздравили присутствующих с Днем пожилого человека и пригласили на танцпол. Многие из гостей поначалу стеснялись, но устоять перед натиском веселья, которое дарили всем профессиональные танцоры, не смогли. Уже через несколько минут площадка заполнилась танцующими. Пока кто-то только присматривался, другие уже кружились в захватывающем дух ритме танца. Такого в современных клубах не увидишь. Пожилые люди на танцполе «зажгли» по полной! Танцы сменялись конкурсами: на самую оригинальную шляпку, на самого активного танцора, на королеву бала. В какой-то момент на танцующих сверху посыпался калейдоскоп осенних листьев.
Бал завершился. Но не сам праздник. После танцев всех пригласили на концертную программу «Именины у рябины», где пожилых людей развлекали песнями, танцами и театрализованным представлением.
