Когда заходит речь о спорте в Трехгорном, в первую очередь вспоминают о дзюдо. И в этом нет ничего удивительного — именно этот вид спорта прославил южноуральский городок на весь мир. Однако отдавая должное достижениям трехгорненцев на татами, нужно заметить, что и во многих других видах спорта они также оказались на высоте. Это и каратэ, и плавание, и легкая атлетика, и горнолыжный спорт, в том числе фристайл, и сноуборд, и лыжные гонки. А также спортивная акробатика, прыжки на батуте, волейбол, футбол, бокс.
На территории города расположены и действуют такие крупные спортивные объекты как стадион «Труд» и Дворец спорта «Олимпиец» с плавательным бассейном. В спортивную инфраструктуру Трехгорного входят спортивные организации и клубы, а также три детско-юношеские спортивные школы. Есть в городе также теннисный и шахматный клубы. Кстати в ближайшей «округе» Трехгорный единственный город, где есть корт для игры в большой теннис.
В редакцию нашей газеты пришло письмо от жителя города Сергея Денисова — одного из первых тренеров по этому виду спорта в Трехгорном. Вот, что он пишет.
«В Трехгорном большой теннис «стартовал» в середине 70-х, благодаря энтузиазму Олега Большакова. Именно он рассказал и показал, что же представляет собой этот удивительный и интересный спорт. Играли в теннис в хоккейной коробке на асфальте через волейбольную сетку. Я тогда тренировал детей по горным лыжам, а в летний период фактически все мои подопечные регулярно ходили на тренировки по теннису. Любовь к этому виду спорта осталась с ними до сих пор. Так, например, Дмитрий Терехин, Николай Жилин, Андрей Игнатов — успешные бизнесмены, живущие сейчас в Москве, горнолыжники в прошлом, до сих пор заявляются в любительских турнирах на разных уровнях.
Долгое время в Трехгорном не было настоящего корта, но в 1989 году, перед отъездом в центральную Россию, мне удалось «пробить» строительство теннисного корта за трибунами стадиона «Труд». Поиграть, к сожалению, на новом корте тогда не удалось. Уехал. Но в 1994 году я вернулся в родной Трехгорный. Взяв на себя ответственность популяризовать и развивать теннис в городе, увлек этой идеей бизнесменов: Романа Новикова, Владимира Коляду, Вадима Литвиненко, Александра Елховского. Так «родились» не только теннисисты но и великолепный корт, построенный по европейской технологии на базе группы ИНПЭК.
В 2001 году Николай Жилин стал спонсором этого проекта, организовав сборную города по теннису в составе Романа Новикова, Константина Калугина, Василия Казакова, Андрея Лежнева, Анатолия Ядрова, Александра Бычкова, Сергея Денисова и Александра Елховского. В этом составе мы провели множество весьма успешных турниров — в Сарове, Уфе, Челябинске, Екатеринбурге, Сатке и Трехгорном.
К сожалению, великолепный теннисный корт находится на частной территории и не доступен простым гражданам нашего города. Корт за трибунами стадиона «Труд» фактически был «уничтожен» по причине реконструкции. Сейчас на этом месте хоккейная коробка. Я предпринимал попытку построить корт в нашем городе для простых людей, но проект «умер» так и не состоявшись.
Что же мы имеем сегодня? С отъездом Романа Новикова сборная города Трехгорного как бы «растворилась». Турниры закончились, а ведь Россия, как известно, занимает весьма достойное место в теннисных кругах. Возможно, успехи наших всемирно известных теннисистов вдохновят трехгорненцев на возрождение в родном городе этого прекрасного, поистине королевского вида спорта?”.
