Усть-Катавский дзюдоист стал чемпионом УрФО в составе сборной Челябинской области.
Это приятное для любителей спорта событие произошло в Екатеринбурге, где проходило Первенство Уральского Федерального округа по дзюдо среди юношей и девушек 2005-2006 годов рождения.
Столица Свердловской области уже не в первый раз становится местом проведения столь масштабных соревнований. На этот раз для участия в турнире собрались около четырехсот юных спортсменов из Тюменской, Курганской, Свердловской и Челябинской областей, а также Ямало-Ненецкого и Ханты-Мансийского автономных округов. В составе сборной Южного Урала выступал и устькатавец Леонид Гладков.
Напомним, что Леонид в середине января принимал участие во Всероссийском турнире по дзюдо памяти Александра и Дмитрия Манько, который проходил в Челябинске. Тогда воспитанник тренеров-преподавателей ДЮСШ Алексея Лактионова и Максима Пшеничного стал серебряным призером, обеспечив тем самым себе путевку на Первенство УрФО.
Первый день состязаний в Екатеринбурге проходил в формате личного первенства. К сожалению, в личном зачете Леониду не удалось подняться на пьедестал.
На следующий день спортсмены выясняли отношения в командных соревнованиях «стенка на стенку». По словам тренеров-преподавателей усть-катавского дзюдоиста, сборная Челябинской области оказалась самой сплоченной. Ребята сумели создать особую атмосферу в коллективе, в которой чувствовался дух единства и поддержки. Это и помогло участникам сборной, куда входил Леонид Гладков, добиться отличных результатов.
В финальных боях южноуральские дзюдоисты победили хозяев татами — сборную Свердловской области со счетом 7:2. Таким образом, наши спортсмены в командном зачете завоевали «золото» и стали чемпионами. Как считает директор Детско-юношеской спортивной школы УКГО Павел Прохоров, победа на соревнованиях такого уровня — это очень хороший показатель и для спортсмена, и для всего тренерского состава.
